Nelson Tan was a semi-finalist in the first season of Singapore Idol, and has since gone on to release two Mandarin albums and an English EP. He plays a variety of instruments, and is active in the Singapore music scene: as a bass player for Malay band Tujuh, and indie band Each Hand a Cutlass.
The Azure Band is one of the few active Singapore Chinese bands. The band is made up of Leon Ho, who is lead vocal and keyboard, guitarist Ai Kiat, bassist Aloysius, and drummer Liang.
ah5ive is an alternative rock band that wrote a theme song for MediaCorp drama C.L.I.F. 3, and has represented Singapore in the 2014 Ho Hai Yan Rock Festival in Tainwan. Switch music's website describes them as a band whose "works often leads the listener to do some soul searching about what life is about".
